 It is reported that the interstellar object 3I/Atlas is presenting what the International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN) has called "unique challenges" for predicting its trajectory. These difficulties have led the organization to add the object to its specialized comet astronomy campaign for intensified tracking and monitoring. Further reports confirm that, due to the uncertainties in its path, 3I/Atlas has been formally added to the list of potential impact threats tracked by the United Nations-endorsed planetary defense group. In response to this development, it is reported that NASA has begun deploying its planetary defense tools and assets to actively observe and analyze the object. This mobilization is said to represent a significant shift from passive observation to an active, targeted data-gathering mission regarding the interstellar visitor.
